AN APPRENTICE from Andover has been presented with an award at a national ceremony by the town's MP.
Kit Malthouse presented an award to Faith Colbourne, who is currently an apprentice working at Asahi UK Ltd, during a ceremony at the House of Commons.
The ceremony was held as part of National Apprenticeship Week, and celebrated apprentices working in the hospitality industry.
Mr Malthouse said: "Faith and I were at a crowded reception in Westminster to celebrate apprentices working in hospitality, and to highlight what a fantastic start to a career an apprenticeship can be.

"I had the great pleasure of presenting her with an award for her hard work at Asahi UK Ltd, and it was good to hear how much she is gaining from the opportunity.
"Apprenticeships have been a huge success story locally and nationally. The government has invested a lot of money in them, and some 5.6 million people have been helped into apprenticeships and training.
"Indeed, there are apprenticeship opportunities in various industries from law and accountancy, to hospitality, and even space engineering.
"Long may it continue, and congrats to Faith and all the other apprentices."
More than five million people have been helped into apprenticeships and training in the UK.
