MORE than 220 homes and businesses in the Broughton area are without power today due to a planned outage.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has said that 22 postcodes and 225 customers in the SO20 area will be without power until 4.30pm on Monday, February 26.
It said: “We’re sorry for the loss of supply. The reason you’re currently without power is a planned outage in the areas listed.
“We have turned off your electricity supply to allow us to safely carry out essential work to our electrical equipment. By doing this, it’ll help us to improve the reliability of our service to you for the future.”
It added that letters were sent to those who are affected by the power cut.
