AN ANDOVER road has been closed due to a burst water main, disrupting drivers.
The A343 Newbury Road has been shut between Saxon Way and Northern Avenue, due to a burst water main causing a void under the carriageway.
On Facebook, Hampshire County Council has said that access to the road for residents will be maintained, and a diversion route is in place via Saxon Way and Redon Way.

According to Southern Water, the leak and void repair will be prioritised to 'reopen the A343 as soon as it is safe to do so'.
The company says it estimates to finish by March 8, however, the closure may be lifted, and traffic management downgraded, before that date.
