ANDOVER'S cat cafe has been handed a four-out-of-five hygiene rating following a recent inspection.
Andover Catfe, in Winchester Street, has been rated 'good' after a visit from hygiene inspectors on January 23.
The cafe, which opened on December 13, is the first cat cafe in the town, offering cakes, coffees and snacks, as well as giving customers the chance to interact with, and potentially adopt, cats.

The cleanliness and condition of the facilities, which includes layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control, was rated 'very good by inspectors'.
Inspectors found that the handling of food, including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage, is 'good' at the cafe.
The inspection also found that checks are in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, and that staff have knowledge of food safety, was 'generally satisfactory'.
