SCHOOLCHILDREN in Andover delivered hundreds of handmade Mother's Day cards to women in hospital, to mark the occasion.
Head girl and boy at Vigo Primary School, Maisey and Frankie, donated more than 400 cards for staff to give to patients in the maternity hub at the Andover War Memorial Hospital over the week.
The cards, which were created during their art lessons, featured well-wishes and uplifting designs to 'spread happiness within the community'.

Libby Matthews, a midwife at the hospital, said that the cards were 'very well received'.
She added: "The love, care and thoughtfulness that went into the cards was so lovely, brightening up some very tired mummies' days and making them smile.
"Thank you for the very kind gesture."
Deputy headteacher at Vigo, Kelly Roach, said: "The children at Vigo take pride in giving back to the community and incorporate it as a concept thread through many areas of their curriculum.
"Thank you to all the children for their amazing effort, and our local maternity hub for supporting this project."
