MCDONALD'S in Andover has reopened following a closure due to a major IT outage, affecting restaurants worldwide.
The fast food chain's branch, in New Street, was closed 'for a few minutes' earlier today, March 15, as problems with IT and the McDonald's app were reported.
An employee from the restaurant confirmed that the branch is now open, but did face issues as "everything was shut due to a problem with the system".

McDonald's stores across the UK were hit by the problems, as well as branches in Australia, the United States, and Japan.
McDonald’s Australia said in a statement it is "aware of a technology outage currently impacting our restaurants nationwide and are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible" and apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused.
The official McDonald’s Japan X account has also confirmed that its stores are experiencing a ‘system failure’, adding: "Please wait for a while until the service is restored."
