A NEW dog grooming business based in Weyhill has been awarded an incentive grant from Test Valley Borough Council.
Happy Barks and Bubbles Dog Grooming with Sarah received a grant of £750 from the council.
Sarah Rule decided to have a change of career and left her hospital job as a senior healthcare assistant to open her new dog grooming business.
She has based her new business at The Fairground in Weyhill, near Andover, in the same building as Coco’s Canine Creche.

She undertook training at Sparsholt learning to groom her own dog, which prompted further training and a career change.
Sarah said: “I am pleased to receive a grant from the council, and I plan to use the grant to change the water system so that I can bathe dogs upstairs in the building where I do the grooming.”
Charlton and the Pentons ward councillor Linda Lashbrook said: “I wish Sarah every success in her new dog grooming business. The business incentive grants are a great opportunity for new start-up businesses in Test Valley.”
