TEST Valley Borough Council has opened applications for season tickets to fish at sites across Andover this year.
Running from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, a season ticket covers residents to fish at three council-run sites at Foxcotte Lake, Rooksbury Mill Local Nature Reserve and Anton Lakes Local Nature Reserve.
Each site offers a peaceful setting and multiple fishing platforms, or ‘swims’, many of which are Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant.
Species of fish which can be caught at these sites include: tench, common carp, roach, rudd, perch, bream and pike.

Season tickets can be purchased for £53.65 for adults and £26.83 for under 18s and over 60s. Information on how to do this can be found on council website.
Day tickets can also be purchased directly from a number of local tackle shops but are not available on the bank.

If you’re aged over 13, you’ll also need an Environment Agency Fishing Licence, available from gov.uk/fishing-licences.
