CHOCOLATE lovers young and old are in for a real treat as fun family activities are taking place in Andover town centre.
On Saturday, April 6, Andover residents can look forward to joining in a Chocolate Factory Fun Day.
Taking inspiration from classic children’s story, there will be some chocolate-themed activities running across the town from 10am to 3pm.
Families will have the chance to drop into a special creative workshop in the Chantry Centre’s indoor garden area, next to Boswell’s, where they can help to decorate a large ‘chocolate factory’ themed sculpture. There will also be some additional craft activities for children to make and take home.

Just outside of the centre, InAndover from Andover BID will be running their Andover Chocolate Dash. Families can head to the InAndover gazebo on the high street to collect an entry form and seek out chocolate-themed clues around business windows, plus the opportunity to find one of 10 golden tickets that will be hidden around the town centre. Find one of the golden tickets to win a large chocolate egg.
There will be sweet treats for all returned entries, as well as the chance to take part in some more chocolate-themed workshop activities in the gazebo.
The event will be free to take part in and will operate on a drop-in bases, without the need to pre-book.

Also on the Saturday, the Chantry Centre’s indoor market will be open from 9.30am to 4pm, featuring independent local businesses selling a range of handmade and unique goods.
Shelley Coburn, manager of Andover BID, said: “Andover town centre businesses are excited to be hosting the Easter Holiday Chocolate-themed trail which will take place over the whole of the two week holiday period.
“This will be a fun activity for families to take part in for free over the holidays and join us on the Saturday 6th for sweet treats, additional crafting activities and the chance to win a large chocolate egg.”
