A MAN in his 80s has died following a crash on the A303 near Andover.
Officers were called at 5.01pm on Thursday, March 28 to a report of a single-vehicle crash on the A303 eastbound, between Cholderton and Thruxton.
It was reported that a Volkswagen Crafter van had left the carriageway.
The driver, a man in his 80s from Solihull, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Although there is nothing to suggest another vehicle was involved at this stage, officers are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"Officers would like to hear from any witnesses who may have seen what happened. If you witnessed the collision, or have any dashcam footage which may assist our investigation, please get in touch.
"Please call 101 and quote the reference number 44240132554."
The road was shut for several hours with AA Traffic News reporting the incident.
It stated on its website: "Road blocked, serious crash, heavy traffic. Road blocked and heavy traffic due to serious crash on A303 both ways between A338 Salisbury Road and the Aerodrome Road turnoff."
