A 21-year-old man has been arrested following a public order incident in Andover in which a man was allegedly seen running along a footpath with weapons.
According to police, the incident occurred near Cricketers Way of Andover around 8.30pm on Sunday, March 31.
It was reported that a man with weapons was seen running along a footpath that leads towards Cricketers Way from Cowdrey Square.
Police said there were no reports of injuries in connection with this incident.
Officers, who attended the incident, seized an imitation firearm and a machete.
A 21-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm.
He was later released from custody on conditional police bail until Sunday, June 30, pending further enquiries.
An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
