PEOPLE living in the south east of England have a chance to have their say on the future of transport in the region.
Transport for the South East (TfSE) is seeking public input through their ‘Your Voices’ survey, regarding various transport-related concerns such as accessibility, affordability, congestion, and air quality. Personal experiences concerning public transport, road safety, and walking or cycling routes are also requested.
The survey is accessible online at tfse.org.uk until Sunday, June 2, 2024. Additionally, TfSE has created a special podcast that elaborates on the significance of public feedback in shaping the transport development plans in the south east region. 'The TfSE Podcast' is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and can be also heard on the organisation's official website.
Cllr Keith Glazier, chairperson of TfSE, stressed the importance of public participation, saying: “We want to hear the views and experiences of those in the region when it comes to all things transport related.
"One of our roles is to speak to government about the priorities they should consider when improving transport connectivity locally. To do this effectively, we need to hear from as many people as possible across the south east.”
The south east region includes Bracknell Forest, Reading, Windsor & Maidenhead, Slough, West Berkshire, Wokingham, Kent, Medway, Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, Isle of Wight, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, and Brighton & Hove.
All residents are encouraged to participate and contribute to the shaping of future transport policies and improvements.
