Marwell Zoo is set to bring Eric Carle's children's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, to life this summer with a new interactive trail.
The trail will include oversized 3D installations and augmented reality (AR) elements to add depth to the experience.
Visitors will follow the caterpillar's journey through an oversized fruit-filled landscape, counting the delights along the way, before reaching a virtual feast fit for any hungry caterpillar.
Marwell Zoo offers 140 acres of open space, captivating more than 140 different animals and five adventure play areas.
The zoo's relaxed atmosphere promotes learning about nature, exploration, and running off extra energy. A visit can be topped off with a delicious meal at Café Graze or a chilled dessert from Safari Scoops.
Admission for a family of five costs £85 if booked online and includes two adults and a minimum of one child. Bus travellers will enjoy an exclusive offer, with tickets reduced to £11 per person, including a donation.
Charity Marwell Wildlife owns and operates Marwell Zoo, which is home to more than 140 animal species including a red panda, tigers, snow leopards, rhinos, penguins and giraffes.
