THIRTEEN lock-up garages in Andover have sold in auction for a total of £78,000.
All freehold and vacant, they were among 149 listed across southern England by Clive Emson Auctioneers in the firm’s Wednesday, May 1 auction.
A row of four garages in Pilgrims Way fetched £24,000, with three other lots, comprising three garages per lot, bought for £18,000 each.

Audrey Smith, a senior auction appraiser with the regional land and property auctioneers, said: “The garages sold at Pilgrims Way in our latest auction, plus our previous two auctions, means 64 garages have exchanged hands for a total of £377,000.
"The garages are of interest to individuals for private use or investment to generate an income from local residents.”

The sale comes after 20 vacant garages, also, in Pilgrims Way, sold for £118,000 in March.
All vacant and freehold, they went in excess of guide prices by an overall £8,000; 11 fetched £65,000, six at £35,000 and three at £18,000.
In the firm’s February auction, 31 similar garages in Pilgrims Way sold for a total of £181,000.
