A CAR boot sale in Andover has announced it will close for the 'foreseeable future' due to family circumstances.
The Wyke Down Car Boot in Picket Piece was held weekly on a Sunday morning from March to November, allowing sellers and visitors to pass on their pre-loved goods or buy a bargain.
The organisers of the car boot sale, Pete and Georgie, announced the temporary closure on their Facebook page. They said: "It is with a heavy heart that due to family circumstances the Wyke Down Car Boot will be closed for the foreseeable future.
"We'd like to thank everyone for supporting us over the years, we've had an absolute blast running it. We will let you know of any updates in due course."
Support has flooded in for the pair, with one resident saying 'family comes first, see you when you feel it's time to open'.
Another said: "Sorry to hear this, you have run a great traditional boot sale for a long time. Thank you!"
