AN ARMY museum in Middle Wallop is offering plenty of craft activities this hal term.
These include Second World War-themed sessions and special D-Day trails at the Army Flying Museum to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
The museum, which welcomed a newly introduced Apache AH Mk.1 exhibit earlier this month, is also offering other activities like dress-up, the pilot’s logbook trail, jigsaws, and interactive exhibits.
Visitors will also have the chance to sit inside some of the helicopters within the museum.
People are also encouraged to enjoy the cafe balcony which overlooks the airfield and view a variety of aircraft flying in and out of Middle Wallop.
The museum is also catering to people with sensory processing issues by allocating a 'Noise Off' morning on May 27, starting at 9am until 12.30pm, providing a quieter environment for the visitors.
The Model Making and Painting sessions will be held on May 26 and May 28.
The sessions are run by the charity Models for Heroes and are included in the general admission price.
Amanda Stallard, development manager at the museum, said: "We are so grateful to Models for Heroes for running these sessions at the Museum and we are incredibly thankful to Simplyhealth and Partisan Games for all the support they have given us.
"Sadly, we need more model kits to enable us to keep this popular activity running in the future.
"If you are able to help, we would love to hear from you."
All craft activities are included with a general admission ticket which gives visitors a free annual pass to the museum.
Additional activities are planned for summer including Genie Lab with their science shows and experiments.
Lucy Johnson, chief executive officer of the Army Flying Museum, said: "We always enjoy offering a variety of free family activities during the school holidays and it is also lovely to see the soft play area and the outdoor playground being used so much.
"These activities really do give visitors so much added value for their annual passes.
"Everyone that visits the museum only has to pay once to get a free annual pass, so they can come back as often as they like throughout the year including all the school holidays.”
All holiday activities take place daily from 10am until 12.30pm from May 27 to 31.
