DO you know someone in the community, or who volunteers for your organisation, who deserves recognition for the work they do?
Now is your chance to nominate them to be recognised – but you only have a few days to do it.
The Test Valley Volunteering Awards, organised by Unity, are looking to celebrate those who go above and beyond in their volunteering roles.

Christianne Ireland, Unity’s voluntary sector support manager, said: “Volunteers make the world a better place to be in – this is surely something worth celebrating. As a society, we increasingly rely on helping each other as volunteers.
“It’s vitally important that we collectively value and recognise their selfless contributions to our local communities. Everyone likes to feel valued, no more so than your volunteers. Without them so many activities, support networks, will fail to deliver their core purposes. Like a garden, we need to nurture, so as to grow, retain and develop your volunteers.

“If you know a great volunteer or group of volunteers in your community then nominate them for the annual 2024 Unity Volunteering Awards.”
Nominations close on Saturday, June 1 and can be made at unityonline.org.uk/test-valley-volunteer-awards-nominations-2024 – it only takes a few minutes.
A panel comprising of independent members from the community, business and public sectors will choose winners and runners-up, from anonymised profiles.
The awards will take place at Crosfield Hall, in Romsey, on Wednesday, June 12.
