AN ANDOVER school is being supported in its work to create a community garden for pupils.
Dobbies, the UK's leading garden centre, has chosen Vigo Primary School as one of the beneficiaries of its national initiative.
The school was among more than 660 applications for Dobbies Community Gardens, a scheme that opened in March.
Vigo Primary will have one-on-one sessions with Dobbies' Andover store staff and be gifted tools and plants.

The initiative also allocates volunteer hours to help complete the project.
The school aims to use the garden for hands-on learning activities and promote healthy eating habits and community building.
Nick Anderson, Dobbies’ operations director, said: "The Andover store had the responsibility of picking a community group to back this year, choosing Vigo Primary School as its winner.
"We're looking forward to seeing this outdoor green space flourish over the year."
