A PREVIOUS Pride of Andover winner will return to compere this year’s awards, after joining last minute for the 2023 ceremony.
Dmitrijs Meiksans, winner of the Young Person of the Year Award 2021, will compere the event, which will be held at The Lights on Monday, October 14.
He said: “It is a great honour to return as compere for The Pride of Andover Awards for a second year. This event holds a special place in my heart as it highlights the true calibre of residents in Andover. These individuals work tirelessly day in and day out. dedicating their time and energy to make Andover the best town around.
“Being part of a ceremony that recognises and celebrates their remarkable contributions is both inspiring and humbling.”

An awards spokesperson said: “The Pride of Andover Awards welcome Dmitrijs back to the stage as compere, after joining last minute for the 2023 awards ceremony, Dmitrijs is a true natural, he brought humour and confidence to the stage, we are excited to have him return and compere alongside this year’s new host Simon Gallup from The Cure.”

Nominations for the 2024 awards open on Saturday, June 8, and will remain open until midnight on Friday, August 16.
