A FAMILY-friendly Pride event will take place in Andover this month.
The event, hosted by the Mayor of Andover and the Andover Town Council, along with its partners - Test Valley Borough Council, Andover College, InAndover and Andover Mind - will take place on Saturday, June 22, in Pocket park behind Town Mills.
The event is the first of its kind to be held in the town and will be free to attend, and will take place from 12pm-6pm.
Andover Pride 2024 plans to bring together the LGBTQIA+ community as well as allies and supporters, "for a colourful afternoon of good fun, great music, and entertainment".

There will be face painting, badge-making, a drag queen, and the opportunity to purchase uniquely designed badges and wristbands, alongside other activities including an InAndover trail.
The family-friendly Andover Pride 2024 will showcase the openness, tolerance, and rich diversity of Andover, and organisers hope it will provide residents and visitors with a wealth of happy memories.
There will be food and drink available across the town centre throughout the day plus gender neutral toilets will also be available in the Town Mills.
