ANDOVER motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A303, from 8pm June 10 to 6am June 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Micheldever, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

• A303, from 8pm June 13 to 5am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Picket Twenty to Salisbury Road, lane closure for technology works.

• A303, from 8pm June 17 to 6am June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Micheldever, slip road and lane closures for signage work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
