RESIDENTS and civic dignitaries attended a service to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
The service took place at St Mary's Church, in Andover, on Thursday, June 6.
Rector Chris Bradish welcomed people the church and performed a service to honour the occasion. The Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Ian Jeffrey, and borough council chief executive Andy Ferrier also took part in the service.
Those who attended watched a short film of memories about D-Day from local residents.
Following the service, a beacon was lit by Andover Town Council to commemorate the day in the Memorial Gardens.
