With the European Championships less than a week away, we have had a look at some of the best places in Andover to get a drink and settle down as the footy begins.

Millions of supporters across England are expected to watch as England open their Group C campaign against Serbia at 8pm on Sunday, June 16.

The Three Lions will be hoping to get off to a winning start and pick up points in their second game against Denmark later in the week, before facing Slovenia on Tuesday, June 25 for their final group-stage fixture.

The Chestnut Tree is pulling out all the stops with a huge beer garden and big TVs outside. The garden has huge umbrellas to shield punters from potential rain so there is no excuse for absentees.

The Eagle Inn – Abbotts Ann

This pub is located in Abbotts Ann. It is famed for its local ale selection and homemade stone-baked pizzas, so a pizza and pint in hand whilst watching the game could be the order of the day.

Crook & Shears – Upper Clatford

The Crook & Shears is a beautiful Thatched 17th-century inn with a rustic décor, pub garden and homestyle food. A proper traditional pub, it serves old favourites including pie and mash and fish and chips, the perfect accompaniment to the football.

Foresters Arms - Andover town centre 

The Foresters Arms is a friendly local pub in the centre of Andover that has regular entertainment every weekend and has BT and Sky Sports available. It also dart, pool and crib teams and serves up a freshly cooked Sunday roast from 12-3pm.
