HOSPICES which cares for children and young people has been rated 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) after an inspection last year.

Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices offer specialist care for children, young adults, and their families, serving over 500 families annually.

Despite incurring costs beyond £8m per annum, a mere 12 per cent of the funding comes from the Government, relying heavily on local backing.

The CQC’s inspection, part of its ongoing healthcare safety and quality checks, resulted in 'outstanding' rating in caring' and responsive categories while effective, safe, and well led were deemed 'good'.
