THE Hendy Motor Fest will be returning to the Thruxton Motor Circuit this year.

The free event, formerly named Hendy Performance Day, will be held on Sunday, July 28.

The spectacle promises to be a fun-filled, family-friendly day, packed with an array of activities and events aimed at both car enthusiasts and children.

In previous years, the Motor Fest attracted large crowds, with more than 8,000 individuals attending last year.

Organisers are determined to outshine previous occasions by introducing more attractions and solidifying the Motor Fest's standing as a vital, eagerly anticipated event in the community's calendar.

Car club stands will enable attendees to admire treasured cars and meet with fellow motoring devotees.

Hendy Group chief executive, Paul Hendy, said: "This year, the focus is on providing a free packed day out for all the family.

"There will still be plenty to entertain the car enthusiasts with stands from all the manufacturers we represent together with car club displays and we’re pleased to welcome back Paul Swift and his amazing stunt driving shows.

“But this year we hope the expansion of activities for all ages and our live music line-up will really put this event on the calendar for all families looking for a free day out in the summer holidays.”

The festival this year will include live music, a number of food outlets, and a children's area with a face painter, an inflatable village, and an arts and crafts station.

Newly introduced this year is the EV zone, presented in partnership with Myenergi.

It is aimed at educating attendees about the manifold possibilities and future of motoring.

Experts will be available to answer any questions and demonstrate the very latest models.

Tickets for the festival are available free of charge and can be ordered online at thruxtonracing.co.uk/event/hendy-motor-fest-2024
