A BUSY doggy day care and boarding business has celebrated a cash boost thanks to the borough council.
Tippy Tap Dog Care and Boarding has recently received a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.
Tricia Palmer moved to Andover from London, and having worked in retail for 18 years, she decided it was time for a change and set up a new dog day care and boarding business, which has really taken off.
She is currently fully booked and receiving plenty of bookings from referrals and from other dog day care and boarding businesses.

Tricia said: “I can’t believe how busy I am – I’ve already had to turn people away. I’ve recently taken on some puppies, so it’s going to be hard work for the next few months, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Jennie Pell, principal economic development officer at Test Valley Borough Council, said: “We were delighted to be able to support Tricia with a Business Incentive Grant as she took the leap into running her own business. It’s great for the council to forge links with businesses at an early stage when we can also signpost to useful resources such as our free small business service.”
Business Incentive Grants are for new businesses located in Test Valley and you must apply before you start your business. The council will award the money once you have been up and running for six months.
