ANDOVER Town Council members have compiled a list of subjects to address with the incoming MP, calling for them to be "more visible" in the area.
With the General Election on July 4 a few days away, councillors have highlighted key areas within the town that they would like the incoming MP to address once elected.
The matter was discussed during a full council meeting held in The Lights Theatre on Wednesday, June 19.

Cllr Richard Kidd started the discussion, stating how he wants the incoming MP to be "seen regularly" and "make themselves known in the town more".
He also asked that they "hold a surgery on a Saturday morning so that people who are working full-time in the week can attend".
Cllr John Cockaday echoed this sentiment, he said: "They should be more visible in the local area."
In a similar vein, Cllr Steven Hardstaff said: "If they could attend some of the local events, the fetes for example, that would be great."
He also called for the next MP to address the issues with the local waterways.
He said: "It would be great if we got an MP's support behind the water problem we've got. It would also be great if they could start looking at some of the depravation we have in the area. There is not enough support for it."
Cllr Katherine Bird added that she wants the council to: "Lobby our MP to lobby Parliament to reinstate the standards boards, or something the equivalent to thereof so that there actually are repercussions for people who don't follow standards or break the rules."
Councillors also discussed how they would ask the MP to lobby for more funding for schools and local government.
Cllr Katherine Bird said: "It's not just the schools, it's also the roads, and a lot of those other functions which are delivered by local government where the budgets have been cut so significantly."
The candidates standing the North West Hampshire constituency are: Andy Fitchet (Labour), Luigi Gregori (Lib Dem), Kit Malthouse (Conservative), Hina West (Green Party), Phil Heath (Hampshire Independents), and Andrew Meacham (Reform UK)
