Andover is spotlighting local businesses throughout July in dedicated 'Andover Local Business Month'. Showcasing array of enterprises, the initiative, from Andover BID, aims to encourage increased local spending.

Shops, service providers, family-run restaurants, and specialist shops characterise Andover's distinctive business landscape, making significant contributions to both the local economy and community spirit.

During this month, residents are encouraged to explore these diverse offerings, eschewing the convenience of online or out-of-town alternatives for the more personal, local alternative.

Community events and promotions will be organised to strengthen the relationships between businesses and residents.

For instance, David Brawn, the owner of Just Bikes, will discuss the effects of customised service and local relationships.

Similarly, Rich Burgess from Burgos Pet World will talk about the unique relationships constructed through regular local shopping.

Promoting business growth is another critical objective of the initiative.

By giving local businesses a platform to share their personal journey and experiences, a salutary environment for growth and innovation can be nurtured.

This in effect underlines the importance of local trade in maintaining our town's prosperity and uniqueness.
