A WOMAN accused of the murder of an army veteran in Andover has finished giving evidence in her trial.

Winter Swan-Miller is on trial at Winchester Crown Court charged with the murder of Stuart Maxwell Crocker.

The 62-year-old was found dead at The Signals, in New Street, Andover, on June 28, last year.

Police investigations found that Mr Crocker might have been killed in the early hours of June 23, but was only discovered five days later when a neighbour phoned 999 concerned for his welfare.

Edward Jones, of Lancaster Avenue, Walsall, is a co-defendant in the case and is alleged to have provided accommodation and social media access for Swan-Miller for one week from June 23, 2023.

The trial resumed on Tuesday, July 16, with Winter Swan-Miller concluding giving evidence after the prosecutor, Nicola Shannon KC, finished cross-examination of Swan-Miller.

The prosecutor concluded the examination by showing the jury a video recorded by Swan-Miller after Mr Crocker's death. The video showed her speaking to the camera, and showing off her dogs.

In the recording, Swan-Miller can be heard saying: "These are the dogs they did steal from me or tried to steal from me."

The video continued: "The following night I killed the f*****g c*** that orchestrated it."

The prosecutor alleged that Swan-Miller had killed Mr Crocker as revenge after he had allegedly tried to steal her dog.

The court was also shown a number of other videos recorded by Swan-Miller for her TikTok account, on the day that Mr Crocker had died.

Prosecutor Nicola Shannon alleged: "Miss Swan-Miller, you did want the world you know what you've done, didn't you?

"That's why within hours you posted a video on TikTok."

Swan-Miller answered: "I've been over this, I don't remember."

The jury was also shown another one of Swan-Miller's videos, which had not been posted to the social networking platform, showed text on the screen which read: "Part 4."

The defendant said: "Yes I'm sitting in the same room as the old man that I stabbed and choked to death and I feel nothing but freedom even though I'm going to be caged it's all good I've done the HMP tour before."

Another of the videos, which was posted on Swan-Miller's TikTok account, detailed Swan-Miller's name, with instructions to 'Google which prison I'm in and write to me please I would love it'.

"So before you'd even left the house, there was a plan that you wanted people to write to you in prison, wasn't there?" questioned prosecutor Nicola Shannon.

Swan Miller responded: "I don't remember."

Throughout her evidence, Swan-Miller said that she did not remember posting the TikTok videos.

Swan-Miller was also questioned about the wounds on Mr Crocker's body. When asked about Mr Crocker allegedly being choked by a Louis Vuitton (LV) handbag, Swan Miller said she 'didn't recall doing that'.

She added that it was 'weird' for the prosecutor to suggest that her choking Mr Crocker with the bag was to 'reinforce that sense of power over him'.

Defence counsel, Gurdeep Garcha KC, told the judge that he had no re-examination for Swan-Miller.

The trial will continue with an account from an expert witness.
