The tour evoked memories for many who lived through the Second World War. For some, it was a chance to share stories that had long remained untold, bringing back vivid recollections of air raids and the spirit of camaraderie that defined their youth.
Norman Murphy, managing director of Bluebird Care Andover and Stockbridge, said: “We are always seeking new ways to treat our customers, and ensuring they enjoy everything their local community has to offer is a big part of that.
"The Army Flying Museum and their tour guides didn’t just provide an interesting, historical tour, it also gave our customers a meaningful connection to their past. It was touching to see them share stories and memories that had been buried for years.”
