DRIVERS in and around Test Valley will have 13 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause major delays – with motorists facing a wait of at least 30 minutes. Another four will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M27, from 8pm July 13 to 6am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 3, lane closures for structures work.

• M27, from 8pm July 14 to 6am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 3, hard shoulder closure for structures work.

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am August 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A303, from 8pm July 25 to 6am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Winchester Road, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.

• A303, from 8pm July 25 to 6am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Barton Stacey, Slip and lane closure for maintenance works.

• M27, from 8pm July 28 to 6am July 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 4 and M3 northbound, carriageway and lane closures for major improvement work.

• A303, from 8pm July 29 to 6am July 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for roadmarkings work.

• M27, from 8pm July 29 to 6am July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 both directions Redbridge Roundabout to Romsey Roundabout, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A303, from 8pm July 29 to 6am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Thruxton to Parkhouse, Lane closures for drainage work.

• A303, from 8pm July 30 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for roadmarkings.

• M27, from 8pm August 1 to 6am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 both directions M27, junction 3 to Romsey Roundabout, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A34, from 8pm August 2 to 6am August 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M3, from 8pm August 5 to 6am August 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 13, slip road and lane closures for concrete barrier scheme.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
