WITH rental prices soaring in Test Valley, increasing by more than 34 per cent since 2015, we've rounded up five homes you can get in the area for the average rent.

The average price per month to rent a property in the borough was £1,114 in June, compared to £826 in the same month in 2015.

Using Rightmove, Zoopla and On the Market, we've put together a list of the properties you can buy for that price or lower. In no particular order:

One-bedroom maisonette

Located near Andover town centre, this one-bedroom, first-floor maisonette complete with a driveway comes in below the average at £825 per month.
