AN ANDOVER businessman has recently completed his 1,000th oven clean after starting is company three years ago.
Greg Clarke, formerly a house manager at Basingstoke Golf Club, launched his oven cleaning business, Ovenu, in November 2021.
Despite the unpredictability of industries amidst the ongoing Covid pandemic, in less than a year he has managed to build a faithful client base and continues to draw steady enquiries, many from personal recommendations.
The Ovenu valeting process, a process which Mr Clarke credited to his success, includes taking apart key components such as oven doors, interior panels, fans and shelves and cleaning them with safe, non-caustic and biodegradable products.

"Running my own business is incredibly rewarding and I'm enjoying the challenge and am grateful for the support of my clients, many of whom have become regulars.
"For many people, the idea of cleaning a 1,000 ovens is repellent but I enjoy the work and receive a great deal of satisfaction restoring them to near showroom condition.
"It has given me the flexibility to spend more time with my family and indulge my hobbies. It's been a great journey, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow the business while enjoying life outside of work."
