Penton Park is steeped in history, with roots tracing back to the late 18th century.
The manor owes much of its current splendour to Sir William Cubitt, who significantly enhanced both the house and its surrounding grounds in the 19th century.
From a convalescent house during the Second World War for American soldiers to the romantic rebellion of the students of St Benedict’s Convent school, who, according to legend, used a hidden tunnel underneath Penton to sneak out and meet potential suitors.
After a hiatus enforced by the pandemic, Penton Park is now excited to welcome couples back.
The reopening comes with the introduction of a new in-house catering team, offering a fully personalised wedding experience.
With an experienced kitchen and events team on board, Penton Park is aiming to take the stress out of wedding planning.
Penton Park’s approach to weddings is deeply rooted in the concept of the "slow wedding".
This philosophy allows couples to savour every moment of their special weekend, free from the rush that often accompanies such events.
