WOMEN from Andover's Asian, Indian and Pakistani communities were given the opportunity to come together and share their stories at a new festival for the town.
On Sunday, August 11, a group of women gathered in the playground of Knights Enham Junior School for Teez Festival.
The event, which usually takes place in North India, gives women the opportunity to get together with their childhood friends and family, having traditionally moved away when they marry.

One of the organisers of the Andover event, Amanpreet Kaur said: "It is the first time that this has been held in Andover.
"Most of the Asian people, Indian and Pakistani people in Andover were talking about riots, everyone was upset and concerned it could happen in Hampshire.
"We just wanted to divert the mind and thought 'why don't we feel like we are in the older days'."
Amanpreet said the Indian community is getting bigger in Andover, with many people not knowing anyone when they move to the town.
"We thought it would be a chance for them to meet each other, feel better and comfy in Andover," Amanpreet, who organised the event with Harjeet Kaur, added.
During the event, which was opened Attitude of Gratitude campaigner Manuela Wahnon, women shared their traditional food, remembered the traditions from where they grew up and dancing.
