TICKETS to the Brit Awards and Cheltenham Festival as well as trips to Cyprus and Greece were declared by Romsey's MP in the latest register of members' financial interests.

This was revealed in the recently published register of members' financial interests for Romsey and Southampton North MP Caroline Nokes.

She was re-elected in July with a majority of 2,191, after first winning the seat in 2010. 

The register lists donations the MP has received in her official capacity.

She was given two tickets with hospitality for the Brit Awards worth £3,000. Also two tickets with food and refreshments to Cheltenham Festival worth £520. 

Ms Nokes was also a speaker at the Women on Top 6th Inclusivity Lounge, within the Thessaloniki International Fair, in September last year and received expenses of £967.68. She was also part of a delegation to Cyprus with the entry saying: “To strengthen inter-parliamentary connections between the Republic of Cyprus and UK and to discuss latest developments on efforts to restart negotiations to reunite Cyprus.” For this, Ms Nokes claimed expenses of £751.39. 

The MP also declared payments from The Refugee, Asylum and Migration Policy Project for research services for two days a week within six month periods. Each time, the maximum paid was £17,550. 

Donations were also listed from Darren Ridge for £2,500 and Bright Beech Properties for £5,000.
