Parents and carers need to apply for their child's secondary school place for September 2025.
Applications opened on September 9 for pupils currently starting Year 6 and will close at 11.59pm on October 31.
Library sessions will be held in some areas to assist parents who have questions about the process.
Councillor Steve Forster, Hampshire County Council's executive member for education, said: "Every year, the county council handles more than 15,000 applications for children transitioning to secondary school.
"Our dedicated admissions team does an amazing job to accommodate as many parental preferences as possible.
"By submitting applications on time and listing three school preferences, families can significantly boost their chances of securing a place at one of their desired schools."
Parents are urged to name three schools on their application to maximise their child's chances of being offered a place at a preferred school.
If a place cannot be offered at any of the named schools, a place will be offered at the catchment school or the nearest school with available places.
If parents are unhappy with the allocated place, they can appeal the decision.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome on March 3, 2025, via email, or receive a letter two to three working days later.
