An open day is set to help people decide on care options for their elderly loved ones.

Access Care's "Later Life Open Day" will take place on Wednesday, September 25, at Stockbridge Town Hall.

Jonathan Waugh of Access Care said: "We understand that making decisions for an elderly parent, friend, or relative can feel overwhelming.

"Our Later Life Open Day is a chance to learn about the options available, and speak directly with professionals who can offer tailored advice, ensuring that your loved ones receive the support they need, when they need it."

The event will cover key topics such as arranging live-in care, stair and homelifts, wills and trusts, community support services, and wealth management.

Mr Waugh added: "This is an opportunity to take the stress out of planning for later life.

"Whether you’re supporting a loved one or working with older clients professionally, the information shared at this event will provide clarity and peace of mind."

The event is open to anyone seeking to understand the options available for elderly care and support.

With specialists on hand to answer questions and provide expert guidance, attendees will leave with the confidence that they are making informed decisions for their family or clients.

The event is hosted by Access Care with the help of The Hampshire Medical Fund Charity, Driving Miss Daisy, Eight Wealth Management, Stannah, Stair and Homelifts, and Roche Wills & Trusts.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about live-in care and how it can keep loved ones in the comfort of their own home.

They will also be able to discover home adaptations that can improve safety and independence for those with mobility challenges, and get expert guidance on protecting assets and managing estates.

Local services offering emotional, practical, and social support for older adults and their carers will also be explored, and advice will be given on how to manage finances in later life, from pensions and investments to planning for long-term care costs.

The event aims to help older adults live well and with dignity, in the comfort of their own homes.
