THE Guide Dogs charity is looking for volunteers to join the organisation and "make a difference" in Andover.

The Andover branch of the charity is looking for people to join the pack, lend a hand and change lives by joining a local group of volunteers.

The group organises fundraising activities to help support the charity’s well-known four-legged companions to become life-changers to someone living with sight loss.

The Andover group is keen to welcome new people to help make a difference.

The group recently held a coffee morning at the community church in Charlton Road, where they raised nearly £200. They also attend local events, such as the Goodworth Clatford Village fete, and often bring ambassador dog Alfie along too.

Shona Lawson, community fundraising relationship manager for Guide Dogs, said: “All our fundraising groups raise funds to enable a person with a vision impairment to live the life they choose. We’d love to welcome more new people to join the group in Andover.

“Joining the group is a great way to meet new people, visit new places and inspire people to donate to a life-changing cause.

“We’re also looking for volunteer Collection Box Coordinators, who support us by displaying our iconic collection boxes in your local community.

“If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you.”
