The owners of a new Farmshop have celebrated opening their shop at the weekend.
The Trough in Silchester showcases a huge selection of local produce, including food drink and treats from local suppliers. Celebrating British produce, the new venture will be open 7 days a week.
The event saw a ribbon cutting, before members of the public were invited to an 'End of Summer Market', which took place throughout the afternoon.
Located next to Silchester Farm, the owners of the Trough, Carla and Alistair Winsey said: 'It may be small but everything on our shelves is personally chosen by us, because we love it and we hope you will too."
They added: "The Kitchen Garden will be the main source for what’s on our shelves, along with locally sourced items, and a few things from further afield if they tickle our fancy. We’ll be open daily for your takeaway drinks or snacks. We do have a few outdoor seats for warmer weather."
The shop will also stock fresh food, baked goods, gourmet treats, gifts, along with wine, beer, and Silchester Farm spirits.
