The Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover is planning a series of seasonal events, including owl flights at dusk.
The charity is keen for more people to learn about birds of prey and say the most memorable way is to witness the birds in flight. As the nights draw, in organisers say it’s the perfect time to visit the park.
As well as moonlight owl displays, there are bird-themed festive celebrations planned for Halloween, when visitors can enjoy a spooky trail around the site as well as daily flying displays, which will include a new ‘Spooky Owl Show’. A Tree Trail, a new Vulture Voyage Trail and Tractor rides (weather permitting) are also scheduled for half term holidays.
The Owls by Moonlight event will get underway on Saturday, September 28 until Saturday, October 26 when visitors can experience two magical flying displays. Two spook-tacular family evenings are planned this Halloween, with ghostly storytelling and flying displays on Wednesday 30 and Thursday, October 31.
The trust is also organising a programme of Christmas events for later on in the year, which will include a Christmas market, carol singing and a visit from Father Christmas.
The organization said: "In addition to being memorable experiences, each event helps raise money for the continued conservation and research work undertaken by the Trust."
