ANDOVER motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm September 25 to 6am October 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Parkhouse to Amesbury, lane closure for horticultural works.
• A36, from 9pm September 5 to 11pm October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound, Ower Rbt entry slip, Alternate road layout for Urgent Southern water works.
• A303, from 8pm September 23 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to M3, junction 9 and A303 both directions Bullington to Micheldever, mobile lane closures for litter clearance.
• A303, from 8pm September 17 to 6am November 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 both directions Ashley Heath to M27, junction 1, carriageway closures for maintenance work.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A36, from 8pm October 1 to 6am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Ower to West Wellow, traffic lights for drainage.
• A303, from 9pm October 1 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Hundred Acre, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Picket Twenty to Longparish, Lane closure for barrier repairs.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule
