AN inquest has opened into the death of an Andover cyclist who died days after a crash.
Adrian John Blake, 62, of Venice Court was riding his bike on March 3 when he collided with a vehicle.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital, before being transferred to Basingstoke Hospital to be closer to his family.
While in hospital, he underwent a CT scan which showed that he had suffered brain damage in the collision.

He died of his injuries on March 7. The preliminary cause of death was given as head injuries resulting from a road traffic collision.
Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson opened the inquest into Mr Blake's death on Monday, October 7.
Mr Wilkinson explained that, during the collision, Mr Blake was not wearing his helmet. The coroner also said that the location of where Mr Blake was cycling had not been provided.
The full inquest will be heard at Winchester Coroners' Court on September 8, next year.
