An Andover man has been fined after he was found guilty of racially aggravated behaviour.
Maurice Cleary, 70, of Millway Road, pleaded not guilty to using threatening or abusive words or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person in Andover on May 13 last year.
He was also accused of threatening to pop the car tyres of a woman in Andover on the same day.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court found him guilty and ordered him to pay £280 fine, £150 compensation, £300 costs, and £80 surcharge.
