Andover Malayali Association hosted a grand celebration of Onam, the traditional harvest festival of the Indian state Kerala, at the Harrow Way School auditorium last month.
The event was attended by Test Valley Mayor Ian Geoffrey and Mayoress Maura, who were warmly welcomed by the community.
The festival, known for its inclusivity and cultural vibrancy, was marked by a variety of traditional performances, including a graceful group dance named Thiruvathira, which showcased the cultural heritage of Kerala.
Guests were treated to an elaborate Onam Sadya, a sumptuous vegetarian feast served on banana leaves, which is a hallmark of the festival.
