ANDOVER motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm September 17 to 6am November 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 both directions Ashley Heath to M27, junction 1, carriageway closures for maintenance work.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A34, from 8.30pm October 14 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Three Maids Hill to Bullington, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A303, from 9pm October 16 to 6am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Salisbury Road, slip road and lane closure for maintenance work.

• A303, from 8am October 28 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Winchester Road, Layb-by and lane closure for technology work.

• A303, from 9pm October 28 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Parkhouse to Thruxton, Lane closure for technology work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
