Children at the Portway Junior School in Andover are gearing up to welcome triple Paralympian, Kylie Grimes MBE.
The three-time wheel-chair rugby champion will be inspiring the children during a sponsored fitness event as they raise money to buy new sports equipment.
The athlete will also be giving a motivating assembly to the whole shool focussing on health and wellbeing.
Head teacher, Vicky Windross said the school was very excited: “The aim of the event is to raise money, improve levels of physical activity and wellbeing and to inspire the children to be more active and follow their dreams.”
The Hampshire-born champion, Kylie Grimes started playing for the London Wheelchair Rugby Club in 2009, and for Great Britain in 2011. In 2012 she qualified for her first Paralympics in London in which the team finished fifth.
