ANTISOCIAL cycling incidents involving school children have prompted police to take action, warning that the high street is a "No Cycling area".
Andover's Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) conducted an "extensive" patrol of the town, following reports of antisocial cycling in the area.
An officer spotted a group of children and obtained their details.
Police now plan to follow up on the matter with their parents and school.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Following numerous reports of Anti-Social cycling in the Town Centre Andover NPT officers conducted an extensive patrol through the town.
"Thankfully one of our eagle-eyed officers spotted the group a little outside of the town and we were able to catch up with them.
"We have obtained all their details and will be following up the matter with them, their parents and their school.
"We would like to remind everybody that Andover High Street is a No Cycling area and when we do have to address that with cyclists it is usually a pleasant exchange with the majority taking the direction well.
"When cyclists do not take that direction well or cycle in a way that is alarming and distressing to shoppers and pedestrians we will always look to deal robustly."
