A winter woodland light trail has been planned to lift everyone's spirits after Christmas.

Forget the winter blues,  the Hawk Conservancy Trust is hosting a Winter Woodland Lights trail in January 2025.

The 17-night-long event includes an illuminated woodland trail and stunning owl flying displays, with music and storytelling. It also helps support the vital conservation work for birds of prey.

Now in its fourth year, Winter Woodland Lights 2025 will feature a brand-new theme – 'Light around the world'.

The Trust’s Deputy Head of Living Collection, Tom Morath, said: “This is one of the most exciting events in our calendar and has become an incredible addition to our many displays throughout the year which mix stunning spectacle with fascinating narration to connect with visitors.

"Winter Woodland Lights really champions the beauty of our owls and the natural world whilst bringing colour and light to the darkest time of the year."
