Communities in Andover and across Hampshire with a connection to Parkinson's can now apply for a share of £3,000 in grant funding.
Parkinson’s UK has announced the funding through its Physical Activity Grants programme, which is aimed at helping people with the condition to get active in 2024.
This initiative, now in its fourth year, reopened applications in June for organisations such as physical activity providers, leisure groups, sports clubs, national governing bodies and Parkinson’s groups.
The closing date for applications is Friday, November 15.

Since its inception in 2021, the programme has awarded more than £426,000 to 192 physical activity projects across the UK.
Physical activity initiatives supported by the programme include wheelchair rugby, table tennis, walking football and hydrotherapy.
Roma Hashim, physical activity grants manager for Parkinson’s UK, said: "We are delighted to be delivering our Physical Activity Grants programme for the fourth successive year, and we hope to be able to help even more people living with Parkinson’s to enjoy an active lifestyle with the condition."
The 2024 grants are limited and will close once the funding is allocated.
Applications can be made for amounts ranging from £500 to £3,000.
More information about the physical activity grants programme and how to apply can be found on the Parkinson’s UK website.
